Got an old handbag you want rid of? No matter how well-worn* it is, send it to Ethically Stitched in return for a 10% discount off your next order!

You can also send in other textile items (listed below) which show signs of wear* such as fading or burst seams. The reason for this is that if an item is in perfectly good condition, then the most eco-friendly option is for it to be reused as it is. Only if there’s a reason that it can’t be reused in its current state, should it be upcycled into something new.

Please note that you will need to pay for the postage of any items you choose to send.

I usually accept the following items:

• Well-worn handbags. (Even if the bag is damaged beyond repair I will likely still be able to reuse zips and pockets etc).

• Well-worn jeans or jacket(s).

• Well-worn cushion cover(s) or duvet cover(s)

• Unwanted sewing supplies such as threads, fabric offcuts, buttons, zips, and other haberdashery(these need to be in usable condition).

*Please note: Items must be clean and not chemically-stained or smoke-damaged.

How it works

Step 1: Complete the form below

Step 2: Wait 2-3 working days for an email to let you know if your items can be accepted. If so, you can then package them up and post via a tracked delivery service.  

Step 3: Once I have received your items, please allow up to 3 working days for me to check that they are as described and email you with a unique discount code for 10% off your next order from Ethically Stitched.
